Charles Dalmas
Charles Dalmas grew up in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., and began the study of clarinet in the fourth grade. Throughout his school days, he studied privately with both Leon Russianoff in New York City and Larry Guy in his hometown. Before serving in the U.S. Army, including a stint in Desert Storm, he earned a Bachelor's in Clarinet Performance from the State University of New York at New Paltz. After his service, he earned two master's degrees, one in performance and one in music education, from the Crane School of Music. He also studied conducting while in graduate school. Here in Sarnia, he played with the International Symphony Orchestra for 23 seasons and has conducted several ensembles throughout his career.
